"E.M.D.R. or Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing is a break through in the treatment of Anxiety, particularly the anxiety that is associated with a specific trauma or phobia. If fear of dogs, troubling memories of a car accident or war-related post-traumatic stress interfere with your everyday life, an emerging psychotherapy may bring relief for good.

Psychologists say Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, appears to help clients thoroughly process old painful events so they "unstick" from the conscious mind and move into resolved memory.
